The Cottage is situated in a slightly different are of Clost de la Tour to the Apartments and benefits from a separate but beautiful sunny and secluded south facing garden. It is a charming building which has been refurbished to the same high standard as that of the Garden Apartment and the Loft Apartment. The Cottage is annually awarded with 4 stars plus a Gold Award by Quality in Tourism.
With its own entrance through a private glass porchway leading directly from the garden area, the Cottage has a wonderfully simple open plan design on both ground floor and first floor levels. It is ideally suited for 2 adults and 2 further adults or children which can accommodated on single sofa beds in the open plan seating area on the 1st floor.
The kitchen and dining area
The simply designed kitchen area on the ground floor is fully equipped with an undercounter fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, electric kettle and Nespresso coffee machine plus an extensive range of crockery, cutlery, general kitchen utensils, pots and pans. The dining area has a wooden dining table with 4 chairs
The Cosy, lounge area on the ground floor boasts a modern double sofa plus a Stressless leather reclining 2 seat sofa, coffee tables, an HDMI enabled flat screen TV with Sky Freesat and a bluetooth music system
The bathroom leads off from the lounge area and houses a 900mm quadrant shower, WC, wash hand basin, heated towel rail plus ample drawers and shelves for storage. We provide eco friendly bamboo face flanels and towels which get softer as you use them plus soft fluffy bathrobes and slippers for you to snuggle up in. Our complimentary fragranced hand wash, hair and body wash and body lotion are all paraben free and vegan friendly.
A wooden staircase leads to the fully carpeted 1st floor open plan sleeping area which has a luxurious double bed with high quality cotton bed linen, fluffy pillows, a cosy warm duvet for the colder months or a cool silk filled duvet for the warmer summer months, bedside tables with reading lamps, ample drawers and hanging space for clothing. A hair dryer and clothes brushes are also provided. The open plan design allows for a seating area with two chairs which each convert to a single sofa bed. This gives an option if sleeping 4 adults plus 2 children aged 9 and under in total.
The Cottage has its own oil fired central heating system to provide you with unlimited hot water and central heating which is totally at your control at the touch of a button. Free, unlimited WIFI is available throughout and we provide beach towels for you to use either in the garden or on the beach.
If you are staying with us for 7 days or more a complimentary midweek change of bed linen and towels is included in the rental cost.
We have a communal utility room which houses a coin operated washing machine and a coin operated tumble drier, both machines accept £1 coins. Situated in one of the garden areas in a whirligig washing line available for your use, pegs are supplied and will be in your apartment.
To welcome you we provide a complimentary welcome pack containing those little necessities such as tea, a selection of coffee capsules, granulated coffee, sugar, a selection of cereal, milk, butter, freshly laid eggs from our own hens, jams & marmalade. Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, toilet rolls, refuse bags & cleaning materials are also provided. For stays of 7 nights or more the welcome pack also includes laundry liquid, a bottle of wine and chocolates.
Nespresso and compatible capsules are often not available to purchase on Sark so if you are a coffee lover please bring some additional capsules with you.
In the garden
In the secluded south facing garden area directly outside of the Cottage we have provided ample garden furniture for your use and enjoyment. There is an outdoor dining table with sunshade and chairs for alfresco dining plus reclining sun lounger chairs for you to while away the sunny days with a good book or a simply snooze.
The minimum stay is usually 3 nights with the exception Folk Festival weekend plus the Christmas and New Year periods when the minimum stay is 4 nights. However, please feel free to request a shorter day as we will always try to accommodate your requirements.

Smoking and pets
Please be aware that the comfort of others, smoking is not permitted inside The Cottage or the porchway. An ashtray is provided for those who wish to smoke in the garden area. Unfortunately, we do not accept dogs or other pets but we do welcome trained assistance dogs. Please contact us for further details.
Changeover day, check-in and check-out
In order to meet your needs we have no fixed changeover day.
Check-in time is 4pm and check-out time is 10am however we will do our best to make these times flexible when possible and with prior arrangement. If you are arriving on Sark before 4pm we are alway happy to accept you luggage, even if the apartment is not available for entry until 4pm. Likewise, if you are not leaving Sark until the afternoon we will look after your luggage so that you can enjoy your last day on Sark.
